1Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through.
2A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.
3He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd.
4So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.
5When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.”
6So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
7All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a ‘sinner.’”
8But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”
9Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.
10For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”
11While they were listening to this, he went on to tell them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and the people thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once.
12He said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return.
13So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’
14“But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’
15“He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.
16“The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’
17“‘Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’
18“The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more.’
19“His master answered, ‘You take charge of five cities.’
20“Then another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth.
21I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow.’
22“His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow?
23Why then didn’t you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?’
24“Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’
25“‘Sir,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’
26“He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away.
27But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.’”
28After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
29As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them,
30“Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.
31If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
32Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them.
33As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
34They replied, “The Lord needs it.”
35They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it.

36As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.
37When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
38“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
39Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”

40“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
41As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it
42and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes.
43The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.
44They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

45Then he entered the temple area and began driving out those who were selling.
46“It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be a house of prayer’; but you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’”
47Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him.
48Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.
What Is Salvation?
By Joseph PrinceSalvation is to be savedófrom hell, from a broken relationship with God, and from the curses that plague mankind as a result of Adamís fall in the Garden of Eden.
You see, God made Adam and gave him dominion over the earth, but Adam committed high treason, and bowed his knee to an outlaw spirit called Satan, and with his fall, gave dominion of the earth over to Satan. God sent Jesus as the Second Adam, to redeem the sons of Adam from their sin, and to redeem this earth from Satanís dominion.
To believe in Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior is to receive this very redemption, and all that He has done for you through His one perfect sacrifice on the cross! Your sins are forever dealt with, you receive Godís own righteousness and you can step boldly into Godís presence. He will no longer just be God Almighty to you, but also YOUR heavenly Father.
In exchange for all the pain, suffering and lack that are so prevalent in the fallen world, you can look to your Daddy God and confidently expect His blessings of health, provision and protection. And ultimately, you will get to spend an eternity with God in heaven as your home.
Why Do I Need Salvation? The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), and in and of ourselves, we have no way to escape the punishment for sins. Without Christ, we had a one way ticket to eternal separation from God.
However, our God is a good God, and our God is love (1 John 4:8, 16). And because He loves us so much, He Himself provided a way out of hell (Matthew 5 and Mark 9) and into everlasting life (John 3:16).
So God sent His own beloved Son Jesus Christ to take our place on the cross, to bear the full weight of Godís wrath and punishment for all our sins on His own body, and to die our death. Only Jesus Christ, the perfect and sinless Son of God (Hebrews 4:15), can fully satisfy the righteous demands of God’s holiness in payment for our sins.
Hence, it is only through our believing in Jesus and His perfect finished work that we can be saved, step boldly into the presence of our heavenly Father (Hebrews 4:16), and expect abundant life on earth (John 10:10) and a glorious future in heaven. There is no other way to be saved apart from making a decision to accept what Jesus has done for you. (Acts 4:12)
How Do I Get Saved? Salvation is a gift from God, and comes through believing in Jesus and Jesus alone.
In John 14:6, the Bible tells us very clearly that Christ is the only way to God and eternal life, and in Romans 10:9Ė11, the Bible tells us how to be saved and have eternal life: Believe in our hearts that Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the grave, and confess with our mouths that He is our Lord and Savior.
To accept Christ into your life and be saved, please say this salvation prayer.
ďHeavenly Father, thank You for Your love for me, for sending Jesus Christ to die on the cross for all my sins. His precious blood washes me clean. You raised Him from the dead. Heís alive today. And I thank You all my sins are forgiven. Iím righteous by the blood. Iím under Godís favor. And I thank You Father that surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life from this day forth. In Jesusí name, Amen.Ē
What Happens After I Get Saved? Once you have accepted Jesus into your life, your entire position in Godís kingdom changesóyou are no longer a sinner, but a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and an heir of God (Romans 8:17).
Today, as Jesus is in heaven, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17)! God loves you unconditionally and wants to bless you. He is forever on your side (Romans 8:31), and He has declared that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
It is very important for you to continue hearing about Jesus and your new identity in Him, and to learn of all the blessings that He purchased at the cross for you to enjoy.

I once asked the Lord, “What does it mean to live under grace?” and this was His response, “When you are conscious of My constant supply to you, you are living under grace.”
Sometimes, though, we can’t help but be more conscious of the daily demands placed on us. Perhaps yours look like this: Providing for your family, acing that huge presentation at work, needing healing for a long-term condition, or paying off that loan.
These demands are legitimate, but can leave you harassed and stressed if they’re bombarding your thoughts from morning to night.
My friend, God loves you and He’s got a better way.
The next time these demands flood your mind, look away from them, see His supply of grace upon grace instead (Fresh Grace For Every Trouble), and receive all that you need from Him.
When you wake up every morning, tell Him, “Lord, I see Your supply of grace flowing toward me right now. It’s more than enough for every single demand I will face today.”
I also pray that the rising sun will remind you of God’s superabundant supply: Every hour, it shines more than enough energy onto the Earth to satisfy global energy needs for a full year, and whatever is unused goes back into space.*
Keep that picture in mind—for it’s in shifting your focus onto God’s lavish supply, instead of life’s demands, that grace starts becoming your way of life.
Once, I bumped into a precious church member in a food court. She told me how she’d been having back pains for a few days, and asked me to pray for her.
I looked around me—the setting wasn’t “right”. There was no anointed worship music, only the chatter of people and the clatter of cutlery and crockery. I thought to myself, “You want me to pray for you here? Now?”
Then, I remembered what the Lord had been telling me about looking to His supply.
So right there and then, I laid hands on her and prayed, “Father, I just thank You for Your supply of grace. I thank You that there’s more grace here than her pain…thank You that she’s completely healed in Jesus’ name.”
It was just a simple prayer, but said with the consciousness of God’s gracious supply. The lady thanked me after that, and we chatted for a while. Then all of a sudden, she exclaimed, “Oh hey, it’s gone! The pain that’s been there for a number of days is gone!”
I recall just standing there, warmed by God’s love for her—and amazed at the sheer beauty of His grace which is not too haughty to walk into the most ordinary of situations, and leaves His people transformed by His goodness.
Now, let me show you how Jesus Himself made grace His way of life: He was conscious of His heavenly Father’s superabundant supply, even in the face of demands which were completely impossible to meet in the natural.
And because Jesus lives within all of us believers (see Gal. 2:20), you too can do so.
Remember how He was once approached by a great multitude of over 5,000 people—and the only food He had to give them were five loaves and two small fish? But Jesus didn’t see the overwhelming scarcity; He was conscious instead of His heavenly Father’s superabundant supply of grace which He believed was still flowing toward Him.
The result? As He gave out the loaves and fish, they multiplied until the people could eat as much as they wanted. And when they were filled, there were still twelve basketfuls of bread left over (see John 6:11–12)!
His simple consciousness of God’s always-abundant grace turned a situation of overwhelming demand into one of super-abounding supply.
Are you facing a five-loaves-and-two-fish situation today? If so, I encourage you to read John 6 and saturate your heart with the largeness of God’s supply flowing toward you, even right now. His provision is more than enough for your family, work, finances, and for every demand you’ll ever face in this life.
See His supply and make grace your way of life. It’s a restful and productive way to live.
The people of Judah honestly thought they were bound for a tragic end.
Three large, bloodthirsty armies–a “great multitude,” the Bible says–were advancing rapidly toward their tribe, threatening to kill them all and take over the land that they had previously inherited from God.
But God had other plans. He intervened spectacularly, setting ambushes against the attacking enemies, and even caused them to utterly kill and destroy each other. Can you believe it? Judah won the battles hands down, literally. They even found an abundance of valuables and precious jewely, all of which took them three whole days to gather. You can read their amazing story in 2 Chronicles 20-37 at the end of this article
Today, we might not find ourselves in actual battles like these, but in other very real battles in the areas of our health, careers, family relationships, or finances. But just as God did for the people of Judah, He is able to deliver us, and even make us gain an advantage from those battles. Hebrews 13:8 says, “He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” The key lies in the words the Lord told His people when they sought Him for help and guidance: “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s”
2 Chronicles 20:15 He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.
The battle is the Lord’s
These were the same words young David announced to Goliath before the giant cam crashing down. These fire words–an unshakable promise of God–turned certain tragedy into undeniable triumph for His people then. This year, victory over our battles can be our reality too when we choose to live by thise five simple words.
CAN BE OUR REALITY WHEN
WE CHOOSE TO LIVE BY
THESE FIVE SIMPLE WORDS:
THE BATTLE IS THE LORD’S
Whatever your battle, God wants you, His beloved child, to give that battle over to Him and watch Him take care of your enemies. But so accustomed are we to fighting our own battles that we often find it hard to believe that God wants to take on our battle and do the fighting for us.
This is why I want you to see what transpired between the tribe of Judah’s receiving news about the attacking armies advancing toward them and their eventual amazing victory. I pray you’ll be greatly encouraged to see the Lord’s heart for us in the face of seemingly impossible odds, learn how we can also surrender our battles to the Lord, and see the same kind of results today.

Their amazing story is told in 2 Chronicles 20-37, which says,
20Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.” 21After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: “Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever.” 22As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. 23The men of Ammon and Moab rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another. 24When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped. 25So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing and also articles of value—more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it. 26On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Beracah, where they praised the LORD. This is why it is called the Valley of Beracah to this day. 27Then, led by Jehoshaphat, all the men of Judah and Jerusalem returned joyfully to Jerusalem, for the LORD had given them cause to rejoice over their enemies. 28They entered Jerusalem and went to the temple of the LORD with harps and lutes and trumpets. 29The fear of God came upon all the kingdoms of the countries when they heard how the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel. 30And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side. 31So Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah. He was thirty-five years old when he became king of Judah, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-five years. His mother’s name was Azubah daughter of Shilhi. 32He walked in the ways of his father Asa and did not stray from them; he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD. 33The high places, however, were not removed, and the people still had not set their hearts on the God of their fathers. 34The other events of Jehoshaphat’s reign, from beginning to end, are written in the annals of Jehu son of Hanani, which are recorded in the book of the kings of Israel. 35Later, Jehoshaphat king of Judah made an alliance with Ahaziah king of Israel, who was guilty of wickedness. 36He agreed with him to construct a fleet of trading ships. After these were built at Ezion Geber, 37Eliezer son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, “Because you have made an alliance with Ahaziah, the LORD will destroy what you have made.” The ships were wrecked and were not able to set sail to trade.
2 Chronicles 20:13-15 says
13All the men of Judah, with their wives and children and little ones, stood there before the LORD. 14Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly. 15He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.
That Adds Purpose and Meaning To Your Relationships
Law Is You Working, Grace Is God Working
A life worth living is a life lived under the grace of God. What a wonderful place to be! But people always ask me, “Pastor Prince, how do I know if I am living under grace or under law”? You are under law whenever you find yourself saying, “Am I pleasing to God? Am I doing all right? Because I did something wrong, I wonder if God is displeased with me?” Whenever you are conscious of what you are to God, you are living under law. Law is what you are to be before God. Grace is what God is to you. Whenever you are conscious of what God is to you, you are under grace. Law says, “I am working.” Grace says, “God is working.” Law is when I work. Grace is when God works. Right now, even as I am conveying this message to you, there’s an inward rest in me. I’m not working because it’s Christ in me who is working. I cease my work and I look to Him. I’m under grace, not under law.
God is working in you right now as you read this book.
Under law, I have to work while God rests. Under grace, God works and I rest. All good things and blessings are accomplished when God works. When I work, the result is bad, very bad. When God works, the result can be nothing but perfect!
It’s time for us to realize that we’re no longer under law. Law is the consciousness of self and how short we fall of God’s glory. Law focuses on what we are supposed to be before God and what we are not supposed to be before God. How conscious are you of your faults and failures? God wants you to stop focusing on them. Focus on Him instead. Even as you are now seated reading this, do you know right now that God is working in your body, in your mind and in your heart? Do you really know that? God is working in you right now as you read this book. You may ask, “How can God be working when I am sitting still?” God works all the more in us when we sit still and let God be God. And when God works, His results are perfect. So when you believe that God is working, it’s not a matter of sitting down and doing nothing. You must believe that God is working. You must believe that right now, God is working in your life. You must believe that right now, God is working on your health. Right now, God is working in your family. That’s God’s grace and the only response required of us is that we believe. The most pleasing thing that you can do before God is to believe Him, to trust Him. So what is grace? Grace is to forget about self and to be Christ-occupied.

When He becomes the central figure in your life, your life will be filled with purpose and meaning. Jesus said in John 10:10
When He becomes the central figure in your life, your life will be filled with purpose and meaning. Jesus said in John 10:10
10The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
If You Want To See What God Is Like, Look At Jesus
How do you become more Christ-centered? By discovering more of who He is. My Bible tells me in Colossians 1:15 that Jesus is the image of the invisible God. My friend, if you want to see what God is like, look at Jesus. Throughout the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, He had compassion on the needy, He cleansed the lepers, He opened blind eyes and restored deaf ears, He raised the dead and He loved little children.
The one who created everything walked on this earth with us. He showed us what God is like because He is the image of the invisible God. John 1:3 says, “All things were made through Him and without Him nothing was made that was made.”, Everything that you see in creation was created by our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Colossians 1:16 that all things “visible and invisible” – whether thrones, dominions, principalities or powers – were made by Him. He created the stars, the sun and the moon. Whether you can see it or you can’t see it, He made it.
It’s beautiful sometimes to see Jesus in “lowly grace”. God is not showy and pretentious like man. We try to get a bit of a name for ourselves. We tend to crave attention. God may have created a particular type of fish to demonstrate one of man’s weaknesses. It’s known as the pufferfish. When threatened, it inflates itself by swallowing water. It puffs itself up to make it look bigger than it really is.
But Jesus is not like that. He chose the place in which He was to be born, He didn’t choose a palace, but a smelly cave. The King of all kings was to be born in a lowly manger. He walked among fishermen, not royalty. He chose fishermen, and tax collectors as His disciples. This is what we call “lowly grace”. It’s a beautiful picture.
But don’t forget that the hands that held and blessed children also created the stars, the moon and the millions of suns beyond our sun. And when those same hands were nailed to the cross, it is no wonder there were three hours of darkness in the middle of that day.
Your Purpose in Life – Do Whatever You Do For God’s Glory
Do you want purpose in your life? The Bible tells us in Colossians 1:16 that Jesus is the creator of all things for a reason – “All things were created through Him and for Him”.We find here that there is a purpose to life. You can have purpose in your marriage. When you get married, don’t marry for one another, marry and love one another for Him. Build purpose into your children. Nurture your children for Him and for His glory. Have purpose in your career. Develop your career for Him.
If you are working for any other reason, your life won’t have purpose. You might say, “I’m working for my family to put food on the table.” My friend, that’s just an existence, not a purpose. Do everything for the Lord Jesus and you will experience life more abundantly. Your life will be worth living. If you are serving your church or the community in some way – even if you are picking up litter – do it all for His glory. When your life takes on purpose beyond yourself, life takes on meaning beyond mere existence. The smallest task and the lowest paid job are no longer boring.
In everything you do, do it for His glory. When I preach, I don’t preach for man’s favor, I preach for His glory. In everything, even when you eat and drink, do it for His glory because all things were made through Him and for Him. When people say and write bad things about me, I have a clear conscience because I know that whatever I do, I do for His glory, not for man. My friend, that is a life worth living.
When He Is Glorified, Everybody Is Edified
Do everything to glorify God and you will find that you no longer have to look over your shoulder to see what people are saying about you. Man’s opinions will no longer be important. When He is glorified everybody is edified. The sick are healed, the blind see and the dead are raised. Whenever He is glorified, everything in the universe is a peace. If I live for my glory and for my fame, then I am empty. At the end of it all, like Solomon, I will hate life.

When you live for His glory, there will be deep fulfillment in every thing you do.
You will lead a shallow life if all you seek is people’s approval. In contrast, God’s affirmation is deep and fulfilling. When you live life for His glory no one may know what you do, no one may see what you do and no one may compliment you for what you do. But when you live for His glory, there will be deep fulfillment in everything you do. When you sleep at night, your sleep will be peaceful and refreshing.
When you do everything to glorify Him, people will begin to notice. We want our lives to be blessed so that when people look at us, they’ll say that the God we serve must truly be God. Why do you want to be blessed this year? Why do you want a thousand times more this year? For self-gratification? No, for Him and for His glory. When God blesses us, we have opportunity to tell our friends about God. Your career, your health, your marriage and your business are blessed not for your enjoyment only, but also for a higher reason – for His glory.
Christ Holds Everything Together
Collossians 1:17 says, “And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.”The Greek word for “consist” means “held together”. Scientists today tell us that every matter is made of atoms. Now, scientists will also tell us that atoms are made up of electrons, protons and neutrons. But did you know that while scientists can tell us the everything in our world can be broken down into a tiny unit called an atom, they cannot tell us what holds the atom together? They just don’t know what force holds the atom together! My Bible tells me in Colossians 1:17 that by Christ, all things are held together. That’s why when Christ comes into your life, you are held together. You become integrated into His life.
But those who are without Christ and those who are “carnal” Christians have their lives torn in many directions. While their mind is going in one direction, their mouth is going in another direction, their heart is going in a third direction and their feet are going in a completely different direction altogether. Their lives are like a civil war. They are not held together, they are not integrated and that’s why they have no integrity. For them, life is not fulfilling, life is not worth living. When Christ comes into your, He integrates you and He brings peace to the warring factions of your life. After all He is called the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

A Marriage Is Only Blessed With Christ In The Center
A blessed marriage is one in which Christ is in the center. Everything in that marriage revolves around Christ. Only then will all things be held together in that marriage. You cannot build a marriage on human love. The Bible says in Ephesians 5:25, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.”The type of “love” here is agape love, which means the love of Christ. So those of us who are married are to love our wives or husbands with the love of Jesus Himself.
Just attending a marriage seminar will not hold your marriage together. That is a humanistic solution. The wisdom of the world tell you that husbands must do this, this and this, and wives must do that, that and that, then everything will be okay. Well-qualified psychologists will tell you that your are to do this and this in the bedroom, and read this book and that magazine, then your marriage will be successful. Nonsense! I tell you that a marriage is held together by Christ. Christ must be in the midst of it. He will hold it together.
In all my years as a pastor, I have seen this truth so many times: People who rely on their own human love will eventually fail in their relationships. Human love can turn into hate without the love of Christ.
People who rely on human love use all the right words in the love language: Honey pie, sweetie pie, mango pie…” They say, “I can’t live life without you.” Then, fast forward just two years and you will hear one day saying to the other, “I don’t know why I fell in love with you! I can’t even stand being with you any more!” Why? Because they relied only on human love. How tragic!
If You Are Not Happy With Your Husband, Don’t Go To Him, Go to Jesus
You cannot have a successful relationship without the third party of Jesus Christ. My friend, you may feel that you married the wrong person, that it’s all too late and that the mistakes of the past cannot be rectified. If you feel that you are not happy with your husband, don’t go to him, go to Jesus. When you’re not happy with your wife, don’t go to her, go to Jesus.
Too often, we go straight to the person we have a problem with to try to resolve things. And we end up angrier with that person. Instead, go to Jesus first. Spend time in His presence. Talk to Him about your marriage. Talk to Him about what is going on in your relationship. Expect Him to talk to you and believe what He says to you when He talks to you.
ith Christ in the center, you will find that the husband draws strength from Christ, the wife draws strength from Christ and they both begin to rely less on drawing less from drawing strength from one another. In marriage, it’s a tragedy when what a wife is supposed to draw from the Lord, she draws instead from her husband, and her husband cannot give her what she needs because we husbands make lousy gods. Our wives may sometimes offer us burnt offerings at meal times, but we husbands still make lousy gods!
It’s the same with husbands who demand from their wives things that can only come from Jesus. The husband expects her to understand his fears and insecurities. But he is meant to cast these to the Lord, to talk to the Lord about them. When he tries to cast them onto his wife, she may not understand and she may become angry. But Christ understands because He knows us best. And when Christ is in you, He holds you together. Your personality is integrated with His. This makes for a wonderful life – a life worth living.
Marriage Is Not Just About Husbands Loving Their Wives and Vice Versa
You know, marriage is not just about husbands loving their wives and wives loving their husbands. You might say. “But Pastor Prince, Ephesians 5:25 says, ‘Husbands, love your wives'” But it doesn’t stop there! It says. “Husbands, love your wives just as Chist also loved the church and gave Himself for her.”Therefore, husbands are supposed to focus on how Jesus loves them because the more husbands know how much Jesus loves them, the more they will be filled with love themselves. Then the wives will receive the benefits of that love.

Husbands, love your wife as Christ loved the church. Ephesians 5:22 says, “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.” Put Jesus in your marriage, and you and your spouse will have the grace to fulfill these roles.
I tell you this, some young people are really dumb. I’ve met young ladies who don’t want their boyfriends attending church youth meetings because they are afraid that other young ladies will snatch their boyfriends away. Don’t let that kind of thinking rob you of blessings gained from attending church. When your boyfriend or husband comes to church and listens to anointed teaching, the more full of Jesus he becomes. The fuller he gets, the more he wants to share and the more he wants to spill over God’s love into your life. That’s the manner of God’s love. When you’re so full of Christ’s love, you want to share it. Your partner is usually the first beneficiary.
The problem in relationships and marriages where both partners are not filled with ‘Christ’s love and don’t have Christ in the center is that we find two empty vessels trying to give and receive from each other. And we know that two empty vessels clashing against each other make a very loud noise. Husbands and wives, you need to be filled with Jesus to experience successful marriages. You might say, “Well, Pastor Prince, I don’t spend time with Jesus, but I can still flow in God’s grace!” Yes, grace will still be there and mercy will still be there, but you won’t be able to manifest the fullness of Christ in you. To do that, you’ll need to spend time with Him.
